Forest and Shore – Hallelujah Hair Oil

Forest and Shore – Hallelujah Hair Oil

Moving away from home blogging, here is a hair post!

The lovely Emily from Forest and Shore sent me this beautiful hair oil to try. To be honest, at first I didn’t really know what to expect, but, I decided to give it go.

My hair is very dry and always has been. This is mainly due to the fact that I hate cutting it because I am trying to grow it out. I always have to use very intense conditioner on the lengths of my hair and its quite frizzy, so I am one of those people that is always on the look out for something that will solve my problem.

The Product

This oil came is a beautiful box (not going to lie it was a bit bashed up when it arrived!) and is a blend of natural ingredients such as coconut, sesame, olive, sunflower & arnica and it’s scented with rosemary & lavender. The smell is bang on. Usually with hair oil, it has a weird smell – but this smells floral and ‘clean’.

I am sure I’ve said this before, but I’m not so good at describing smells, just know it smells nice!

The box says to use 2-4 drops, so of course I went over the top (a classic trait of mine) and used 6 and it was wayyyyyyy too much. I found that with this oil, there is a fine line between using the right amount, and deciding you’re going to fry some chips in your hair. You get it… a little goes a very long way – which I guess is good as this means it lasts longer!

In terms of results, my hair is definitely a lot more manageable and smooth. The shine is incredible and actually reminds me of that shine you get after dying your hair. However, for some reason my uncontrollable frizz seems a bit worse than before. I have no idea why, and it could just be the weather, but I hate frizz so it has kinda put me off.

That is just my opinion though and you may find that it ticks all your ‘hair need’ boxes! However, I definitely recommend to anyone who needs a little bit of hair TLC and some shine for their locks!
